On December 10, 2009, the online service called Platinum Crew for the arcade game DJMAX Technika was opened to the public on the international servers worldwide. This allowed for players to post their scores and compete against each other, and online user forums were available as a platform for these players to communicate with each other.

Instead of just a simply competitive collective, friendships were formed all over the world–many of which have held the test of time, becoming even stronger friendships today. The community around the DJMAX Technika series has been a transformative experience for these players in some way, and feel the community had a very positive and welcoming environment, allowing for these incredible relationships to flourish, some of which people from all over the world would meet each other in person and share their love and knowledge for DJMAX Technika and beyond.

This event is to celebrate the 10 Years since the start of Platinum Crew, DJMAX Technika, the developers for their hard work, the individuals who wanted to share its story, and the community that has given the game life and have continued to do so today. Some could say they would not be where they are now because of DJMAX Technika. It is truly life changing, and we want to give back.

It does not matter if you played the arcade game, the portable series, the mobile games, any of the DJMAX games, or just simply curious about it, this event is for you. We want to share our story and our appreciation of this game and the people we have come to meet through this game to you.

We will have a bunch of stuff for you at the celebration! You can read the full post here, but below are just a few items worth mentioning:

• 3 online DJMAX Technika machines
• Early arriving registered attendees will receive a free pair of commemorative lapel pins (while supplies last!)
• All attendees will receive a mini yearbooklet/programme
• We will be selling a JFT-exclusive commemorative t-shirt (while supplies last as well!)
• A screening of Touching Sound: The Technika Documentary
• Q&A session with the Guests of Honor
• Kitchencore to close out the event
• Featured artists selling merchandise
• Raffles
• And more!

There are a couple things we would like to clear up, if they may be on your mind:

• After online registrations for the event close, there will be a $5 charge at the door.
• Doors open at 2 PM and close at 6 PM.
• There may be a limited number of commemorative pins to give away, and shirts to sell–don’t arrive too late!
• If you have RSVP’d a spot to purchase a commemorative shirt, it is required for you to be at the event to purchase and receive your shirt order.
• There is a full bar available for attendees.
• Bring your headphones!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!!!
• Cosplay is encouraged, but also be comfortable.
• NO ATM AVAILABLE. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY.
• NO OUTSIDE DRINKS OR FOOD PERIOD. Food is provided by the JFT Crew.
• NO DRUGS OR WEAPONS. We will have security on premises during the event. Party Pooping is strictly prohibited.
• NO VAPING OR SMOKING INSIDE THE VENUE
• NO FOOD OR DRINKS ON THE TECHNIKA MACHINES
• Drink responsibly. Don’t be a dick.
• We reserve the right to remove you from the premise.
• Leave your crew race tattoos/stickers/patches at the door.
• Respect Venue and Have fun!
